I am a haircut focused stylist located in Torrance, CA. My soul’s purpose is to not only nurture your hair but your soul as well. For me doing hair is about way more than just hair, it’s about the connection & experience. I specialize in creating hair that will inspire confidence and illuminate your true self through haircutting.

While you're in my chair you will experience a thorough consultation seeking out any hair challenges you may have or what stunning attributes you'd like to emphasize. From styling dilemmas to scalp troubles or simply curating a hair regimen best suited for your hair type and lifestyle we get into it all.

I especially enjoy creating fresh bobs, long flowy layers, and carving into natural curls.

While we’ve been working within the same general haircut we make new creative decisions that change it ever so slightly at each appointment.

One to accommodate style and two to accommodate how it grows in.

I need to assure that you look as good on day 60 as you did on day 1.

Mastering the grow out comes easy when you stick with a stylist who is familiar with your hair.

The haircut is the FOUNDATION of it all ✂️

How you wear your hair day to day makes a big impact on how I approach your haircut.

Do you want something with versatility? Or do you exclusively wear your natural texture?

We like to have fun so here are 3 different styles:

1-2 natural texture diffused with jelly & balm and bangs blown out with round brush
3-4 bombshell blowout
5-8 waved with the flat iron

Through the bottom I just scrunched the product through and to create more uniformity and definition I finger coiled the top layer and diffused. The bangs were blownout with a round brush.

ILLUSION👉 voluminous, bouncy waves😍
CREATION👉 start with shampoo & conditioner meant for fine hair, blow dry with minimal product, wave with hot tool, teased & add voluzining powder. 💪

And another little reminder that we all could use 👉Everything you see regarding appearances, ESPECIALLY on social media is a curated illusion. Do not compare! Becky with the good hair might just have hundreds of dollars worth of extensions tied to her head. Just saying 😘

Curls just need a little extra LOVE & by love I mean water! 💦

Started with a dry cut to balance her. Her curls underneath are VERY tight and shrink way more compared to the top layer which needs a bit more encouragement.

Then I detoxed to remove any product or mineral build up that was preventing her curls from absorbing moisture.

Diffused with Innersense I create volume & I create lift volumizing foam.

Once dry I detailed the cut ✂️

How often should you be getting a haircut?

While that answer can vary for everyone based on hair type/texture, style, lifestyle, goals, and hair health I generally recommend checking in once a season.

Each season brings its own elements that can affect our hair. Is it dry season? Are you subjected to more/less humidity? Are you heat styling more often? Are you swimming or baking in the sun?

Sometimes our haircare also needs a little switch up depending on the seasons. That is another benefit to coming in every season, we check in with what your hair needs at home.

This schedule may work for some and not so much for others. I find that it is a great way to at least carve out sometime for yourself and invest in self care even if you’re simply getting a moment to yourself to relax I find it to be worth it.

When you run out of that one product you can’t live without but realize you have some at work AND you’re the boss 😆

SUPERWATER from @cultandking is like holy water for me. I use it on my face everyday, it’s a great toner and just refresher through the day. Also, you can use it as a light leaving in your hair!

Seems like common sense right?

I think taking care of yourself is very overlooked and underrated in terms of our “beauty”. I think so many of us view our hair, skin, nails as just a superficial outward projection of beauty.

But in reality our hair, skin, and nails are a huge reflection of our health and self care.

And when I say self care I don’t mean expensive masks & treatments. I mean things like getting a full night of sleep, eating a balanced diet, staying hydrated, slowing down and listening to our body’s and minds.

Personal hot take: Hair gets better the more you build a relationship with your stylist.

Obviously if a stylist isn’t for you then don’t feel obligated to rebook with them. But. I have to say the magic is building the relationship.
